I'm Hayley Donigan, a freelance brand strategist and copywriter.

I live a life of slow, considered travel and thoughtful, strategic work.

How I got here

People often ask me why I left Southern California for the UK.

In 2010, I moved to England to broaden my horizons, and it was the best decision I've ever made.

Europe became my springboard, allowing me to embrace life as a 'flexpat': living between countries and working remotely as much as possible. Also known as a part-time digital nomad.

For over a decade, I’ve balanced travel and work, immersing myself in as many cultures as possible.  I prefer staying longer, returning often, and letting a place seep into my identity, and this mindset has guided how I work.

Becoming a brand strategist

I started my career as a copywriter for a global travel company and have worked in various content marketing roles ever since.

It was there that I developed my understanding of messaging, realising it goes well beyond putting words on a page.

After a decade of solidifying my digital marketing experience and personal travel style, starting my own responsible business was the natural next step.

Today, I’m living my dream of bringing both strands together: I’m a freelance brand strategist and copywriter that uses travel to fill my creative cup.

Work with me

I’m not interested in adding noise for the sake of it. Purpose-led businesses deserve careful, considered language, and I take that responsibility seriously.

If you’re building something meaningful and want your messaging to reflect that, we’ll likely get along well.
